Gardai are treating "very seriously" a hoax bomb threat which was made at the offices of Limerick radio station, Limerick's Live 95fm, Friday afternoon, a senior garda has said writes David Raleigh.

More than a century of service to the seafaring community by the Coast Guard radio station in Valentia, Co Kerry, has been marked by the erection of a plaque to honour all who worked there.
