Soldiers and relief workers using helicopters and canoes have evacuated 60,000 people from the flooded Zambezi River Valley in central Mozambique, where more than 100,000 others are at risk.

Mining and exploration company Kenmare Resources reported good progress on the development of its Moma Titanium Minerals Mine at its AGM today.

The flood situation in the Zambezi valley in central Mozambique remains serious with 50,000 people potentially still at risk.
