Youths driving scrambler motorcycles on footpaths and green areas have become a serious issue for gardaí on the northside of Cork City.

The Court of Appeal has reserved judgment on whether to return a young, first-time offender to jail for a nightclub glass assault, following an “undue leniency” appeal by prosecutors which raised “significant issues”.

DETAILED evidence was given in a trial yesterday of what was seen in the seconds before two cars crashed, resulting in the deaths of two teenagers.

A COMPLICATED trial of six men facing different charges arising out of a series of incidents culminating in the road deaths of two teenagers in Knocknaheeny, Cork, last May has been listed for trial at Cork Circuit Criminal Court on November 23.
