A man is recovering in hospital following an overnight shooting in Limerick.

A Limerick man who admitted stabbing a 22-year-old man in a park in 1999 was found not guilty murder, but guilty of manslaughter at the Central Criminal Court today.

A High Court judge tonight sent a murder trial jury to a hotel after they failed to reach a verdict in the trial of a 28 year-old Limerick man.
