The distraught wife of Northern Ireland journalist Martin O’Hagan, shot dead as he walked home from his local pub, tonight recalled the last minutes of his life.

Murdered journalist Martin O’Hagan was threatened by a well-known Loyalist less than a week before his death, it has been disclosed.

Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble today condemned as ‘‘cowardly’’ the murder of well-known Northern Ireland journalist Martin O’Hagan near his home in Lurgan Co Armagh.
