Stadium builders Multiplex are “disappointed” with the Football Association’s decision to play the FA Cup final at Cardiff instead of Wembley.

Wembley Stadium construction firm Multiplex posted “very disappointing” results today as it counted the cost of problems on the flagship project.

No 10 said the Government could not meet the £150m shortfall in the project funding, with costs for the stadium rising from an initial £334m to £660m at latest estimates.
