A Dublin man has been ordered to carry out 90 hours community service for his role in a staged robbery of diamonds valued at almost €300,000.

Two Dublin men involved in a staged robbery of diamonds valued at almost €300,000 have been jailed and a third conspirator may be directed to carry out community service.

Gardaí are tonight questioning a man in connection with a serious assault in central Dublin last night.
