The application by a councillor to have his case heard in Irish will be heard at the High Court in Dublin on December 13.

The investigation into the blacking out of street signs named after Britain’s Queen Victoria resulted in a councillor and two other men being charged at Cork District Court yesterday.

Water charges protester Diarmaid Ó Cadhla, of The People’s Convention, was convicted and fined €300 at Cork District Court yesterday for failing to file a document related to electoral donations with the Standards in Public Office Commission after the 2011 general election.
