Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was knocked down by a van in Co Donegal.

A bus driver who claimed he saved the lives of 46 children by breaking the speed limit has been fined €100.

A bus driver with 48 schoolchildren on board said he broke the speed limit to ensure the safety of his passengers.
