Gardaí in Dublin have arrested three men in connection with hijacking a taxi and seriously assaulting the driver.

A 16-year-old boy is being questioned over a stabbing at McIntosh Park in Pottery Road, Dun Laoghaire.

Four people are recovering in hospital this morning following three separate stabbing incidents in Dublin last night.

Gardai have issued flood alerts for a number of areas in the east of the country and are advising motorists to allow extra time for journeys.
