A father-of-one died from a stab wound which penetrated the left side of his chest to a depth of over 25cm, a murder trial has heard.

The trial of a woman accused of murdering her boyfriend by stabbing him in the chest has heard that a garda found the deceased lying on his back with blood around his left armpit when he arrived at the scene.
