A jury in the trial of a man and a woman accused of a serious assault in which the victim lost his one remaining eye has been directed to find one of the acccused not guilty.

A man has told a Dublin Circuit Criminal Court jury that another man twisted a broken bottle into his one good eye, leaving him totally blind.
