A 33-year-old man made 60 silent phone calls to his ex-girlfriend after an acrimonious split, and yesterday the sentencing judge said the probation report on the accused was the worst he had ever seen.

A man who made 60 silent phonecalls to his ex-partner in Cork in a 24-hour period pleaded guilty yesterday to a harassment charge.
