I AM researching the story of the slate quarries at Curraghalickey, Drinagh, Co Cork, where slate was quarried at least as early as 1841.

Expensive lunch

I RECENTLY spent €16.30 in a Cork city restaurant for a lunch portion of spaghetti bolognese with grated parmesan cheese and an extra side-dish of a single (hard) boiled potato and some cauliflower.
