A passenger plane carrying 27 people crashed today as it was about to land in bad weather in Indonesia’s eastern province of West Papua, killing at least 15, officials said.

A passenger plane with about 100 people on board skidded off the end of an airport runway while landing in heavy rain on Indonesia’s remote Papua province today, injuring about 20 people.
