A Dublin teenager who stabbed and slashed a father-of-two fourteen times in the head, neck, stomach and chest has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for manslaughter, with the final four suspended at the Central Criminal Court today.

TWO people died following a road accident near Lifford in Co Donegal yesterday and a man has died in hospital following a car crash in Killarney last week, bringing to 13 the number of people to die on roads since Thursday.

ROAD crashes claimed the lives of three more young men over the bank holiday weekend, bringing to 10 the number of accidental deaths since the start of summer on Thursday last.
