Three policemen have been killed and four injured in a suicide car bombing in Chechnya, Russian news reports said.

Russian security forces killed two women in a security operation in Chechnya and said the two had planned a suicide bombing, a top military official told a news agency today.

Rebels have ambushed a federal convoy in southern Chechnya, killing five soldiers and wounding another five, according to official sources.
