A HORRIFIC weekend on the roads has seen the numbers killed in traffic accidents increase to nine — just 12 days into the new year.

Ambulances are arriving at the scene of an accident at Sandwich Street, near Dublin's Westland Row after a double-decker bus drove under a low bridge.
