EPA classifies 102 of 142 bathing waters as ‘excellent’ and 18 as ‘good’ but warns about bacterial contamination caused by bird droppings

A swimming ban at a North Dublin beach has been lifted.

Swimming bans have been issued at two north Dublin beaches.

Six beaches have re-opened to the public after a total of 12 were closed when heavy rain caused toxic waste to infect the water.
