Crews are continuing to repair pumps that have broken down at the Ringsend wastewater treatment plant.

Irish Water have warned that there is an increased risk of stormwater overflows over the next few days at the Ringsend wastewater treatment plant.

Eight beaches in Dublin have been closed to swimmers following the heavy rainfall last night.

The leak is due to a storm-water overflow from Ringsend Treatment Plant on June 4 and 5.
