Firefighters giving evidence in a double murder trial have described seeing skulls and a ribcage in a burning car they were hosing more than five years ago.

The State is to contest a Supreme Court challenge taken by businessman and anti-eviction activist Jerry Beades to the appointment of Justice Peter Kelly as president of the High Court.
