A man has been remanded in custody in relation to an 81-year-old woman, walking along Winthrop Street in Cork City centre, being the victim of a robbery.

A cyclist who died in a fall at the bottom of one of Cork’s steepest streets had no working brakes on his bike, an inquest has heard.
