A greatly weakened Hurricane Raymond was staying at sea as its rains caused some flooding on Mexico’s Pacific coast and led authorities to evacuate a village threatened by mudslides from two soaked hills.

Newly formed Hurricane Raymond swirled towards Mexico’s southern Pacific coast today, an area already devastated by rains and mudslides from Tropical Storm Manuel last month.

A former Sydney businessman, officially listed as drowned during a drunken boating mishap five years ago, today admitted he had faked his own death to cash in on a life insurance policy worth 3.5 million Australian dollars (€2.2m).
