A Westmeath resident who alerted his employers to the fact he had stolen over €2,000 from clients in mortgage arrears has avoided jail.

A jury has found a man and woman not guilty of the manslaughter of a student who died on New Year’s Day 2012.

Three young people have today been charged with the unlawful killing of Andrew Dolan.
