A Limerick man and a Scottish man have been killed in separate road incidents in Ireland and Britain.

Latest:  Gardaí investigating the death of a woman at her home in Rathmines in Dublin have confirmed that she died of natural causes.

A man who drove a stolen taxi directly at a Garda checkpoint and later swerved towards a patrol van after gardaí ran to avoid being hit has been sentenced to six years for this and other offences.
