An Aer Lingus worker who helped smuggle illegal immigrants into the country has been jailed for four years.

A headstone was damaged and a bronze statue was removed from another headstone at a cemetery in Clonakilty and yesterday the culprit confessed to the crime.

Two Aer Lingus workers and a Chinese national have been remanded in custody, charged with human trafficking at Dublin Airport.
