A woman has died and two people have been injured after a car collided with spectators during a rally in the Scottish Highlands.

Rescue teams are expected this morning to resume the search for two RAF airmen who went missing after two Tornado jets crashed off the north coast of Scotland, Britain's Ministry of Defence said.

Two people were tonight charged over the disappearance of a five-year-old girl after a child’s body was discovered in a canal.
