A 12-month-old child who, eight years ago, choked on plastic allegedly contained in a Cow & Gate baby food jar, was awarded €10,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.

The High Court has made a disqualification order against businessman Damien Gilson, and a restriction order against his sister, model and TV presenter Glenda Gilson, arising from their involvement with a motor company of which they were both directors.
