There have been renewed calls for flood defences in Cork after the city and county were hit by flooding for the second night in a row.

Gardaí have issued specific flood warnings for several areas of Dublin today.

Major traffic disruption is expected throughout Cork city this morning following the collapse of the Quay Wall between the Skew Bridge and Water Street junction yesterday.
