The handlers of Pennsylvania’s most famous groundhog are set to predict whether the US will have early spring-like weather or have to suffer through the end of winter.

With the US experiencing mild weather this winter, six more weeks of it might not be so bad.

EDDIE O’SULLIVAN wants a second Groundhog Day this year. The original actually took place last Wednesday week at Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania but the Irish rugby coach — just like in the movies — wants it to happen all over again next Saturday in Murrayfield.

There was good news for skiers today as the world’s most famous furry forecaster saw his shadow on Groundhog Day, predicting six more weeks of winter.
