CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory in Cork is to make more of its space, having secured €35,000 in funding from Science Foundation Ireland.

Five Cork students aim to make astronomical history by snapping a picture of space using a telescope operated remotely from a flight to San Francisco.

Irish students will soon be surfing to California to peer into deep space... without leaving the country.
