The developers of the site where U2 recorded some of their best-loved albums have entered a battle with Dublin City Council over a disputed Luas Red Line payment of almost €500,000.

An action brought by Harry Crosbie’s Point Village Development firm against Dunnes Stores over its failure to fit out an anchor store at Dublin’s Point Village has opened before the High Court.

The Dublin Docklands Development Authority says the new Point Village area has been chosen as the location for a planned London Eye-style observation wheel in the capital.
