The main thing on the mind of a 28 year-old Limerick man when he stabbed another man was "to get away from him", a murder trial jury heard today.

A man accused of the murder of a 22 year-old Limerick man in 1999 today told a jury his “life has been hell” and described how he abused prescription drugs in the months prior to stabbing the deceased.

A 28-year-old Limerick man identified a knife to gardai as the one he used to stab another man with in a park in the city in 1999.
