Around 300 protesters were demonstrating over President George Bush’s state visit tonight as colourful costumes and samba sounds created a party atmosphere in Britain’s capital.

London remained on a high state of terrorist alert today as US President George Bush continues his state visit and thousands take to the streets to protest at his presence in Britain.
