A man has been jailed for throwing a glass at another man in a Cork pub and instead injuring a dancing woman, who had nothing to do with the situation.

RTÉ sports journalist Pat McAuliffe claimed at Cork District Court yesterday that he was arrested for no reason when having a pint with his friend and said no one who knew him would believe what was said against him.
