It’s as if the Lusitania is coming home.

The American owner of the wreck of the Lusitania has gifted it to a local group in Cork and hopes his bequest will help them create a “living museum” to the tragedy.

Several coastal communities have united to commemorate the Lusitania sinking.

An historic lighthouse is set to open to the public to help raise funds for an ambitious restoration project.
