An explosion has hit the Old City of Damascus, killing at least 10 people and wounding dozens of other civilians, Syrian activists said.

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi toured Damascus today, the highest-ranking American politician to visit Syria since relations began to deteriorate four years ago.
