A wildfire that forced 1,500 homes in Southern California to be evacuated spread to nearly two square miles and destroyed two mobile homes today.

A RELATIVE found the bodies of a 23-year-old woman and her four small daughters hanging in a closet in their mobile home yesterday morning, all of them dead but an eight-month-old, who was taken to a hospital, the sheriff said.

A child was found hanged but still alive this morning at a mobile home, with the dead bodies of three other children and an adult nearby, authorities in Hudson Oaks, Texas, said.
