A British aid worker has been ambushed and fatally shot by Ugandan rebels in southern Sudan, officials said today.

Former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin remains in a coma and his health condition is deteriorating, an employee at the hospital where he is a patient said today.

Exiled tyrant Idi Amin, whose eight-year presidency of Uganda is remembered for the torture and killing of more than 200,000 people, was in a coma in a Saudi hospital today.
