A talented boxer who used his skills to attack young men he encountered on the street and rob them, was jailed yesterday.

A suspended 12-month jail sentence was imposed on a man accused of failing to take all reasonable measures against the outbreak of fire after another man was fatally injured trying to escape from the third floor of a burning building.

A book of evidence was served yesterday on a 64-year-old man accused in relation to the breaching of fire safety standards at a building in Cork city where there was a fatal incident in Apr 2009.
