Thirty-three people were evacuated from a drilling rig in the Norwegian Sea on Tuesday after a fire broke out in the engine room, oil and gas company Statoil said.

Statoil has evacuated 326 oil rig workers from a North Sea platform after the structure began to tilt, the Norwegian oil company said.

A drilling rig with 71 crew broke from its tow and was adrift in the North Sea today, but all on board were in ‘‘good condition,’’ the Norwegian state oil company said.
