A GARDA sergeant from outside the Kerry district pretended to be a member of the public when she handed in a black purse containing cash and a headache tablet to a garda on duty in Killarney Garda Station, the Circuit Criminal Court in Tralee heard yesterday.

A MAN picking mushrooms found the skeletal remains of a 46-year-old Polish man who had been reported missing from his address in Killarney for more than two months, an inquest was told.

Gardaí are investigating today after a man was found dead in Co Kerry.
