Bord Na Móna says its new wind farm at Mount Lucas in County Offaly will provide energy for more than 45,000 homes.

BORD na Móna workers may go to the Labour Relations Commission to recoup more than €2.25 million in earnings lost due to closures at two peat-fired power stations.

The temporary closure of a €240m power plant due to a technical fault will cost millions of euro and up to 200 jobs, it emerged tonight.
