MOTORISTS are being overcharged on some of the country’s busiest toll routes because of the failure of toll operators to pass on price reductions, it emerged yesterday.

WATERFORD City Council is considering a planning application for a major factory outlet centre that could create up to 500 jobs at a former pitch and putt course on the Cork Road in the city.

THE OPPOSITION last night claimed the €34.4 billion Transport 21 infrastructure plan was a “political con job” after the Government admitted several projects were already behind schedule.
