A train accident in west-central Cuba has killed 14 people and injured 42 others, according to a report from a local hospital.

Five people including a couple from South Florida and their eight year old grandson, have been massacred in a suspected highway robbery in Cuba.

Cuban officials who travelled to regions hit by Hurricane Michelle have found vast destruction, with sugar mills wrecked, crops ruined and hundreds of homes destroyed.
