The brother of murdered dissident republican Alan Ryan and another man have been found not guilty of the possession of an assault rifle and a handgun by direction of the Special Criminal Court.

Evidence of garda interviews conducted with two men accused of the possession of an assault rifle and a handgun is not admissible at their trial, the Special Criminal Court has ruled.

The Special Criminal Court will rule next week on the admissibility of evidence of the arrest of two men on trial for the possession of an assault rifle and handgun.
