A man who bought two cruiser berths on a River Shannon marina - which turned out to be "useless" - has been awarded more than €59,000 by the High Court for breach of contract.

Two seminal Cork harbour mixed-use development sites with waterfrontage, in Crosshaven and in Passage West, come to the open market this week, being disposed of by the Doyle Shipping Group, and worth over €8m combined.

One man drowned and a second survived after going into a river in the early hours of the morning.
