A 34-year old Cork farmer who has sued after he suffered horrific injuries to his hand when it was sucked in to a combine harvester has claimed for €1.65m in losses, the High Court has heard.

A 35-year-old Cork farmer whose hand was sucked into a combine harvester as he tried to free grain clogging up the machine has sued in the High Court.

Two original photographs documenting Michael Collins’ final hours have been unearthed at a historical roadshow in Cork.

HIS father fought as a teenager with Tom Barry and the Flying Columns and was a contemporary of Michael Collins, while his mother defied her family to support the Volunteers.
