Suspected US drones fired missiles at vehicles and hit a militant hide-out in a tribal region of north-western Pakistan today, killing at least nine insurgents, two officials said.

Two men have been beheaded in a lawless tribal region of Pakistan near the Afghan border on suspicion that they were spies for the US, an intelligence official said today.
