The snooker world paid its final tributes to Paul Hunter today, 10 days after the 27-year-old Yorkshireman died from cancer.

Hundreds of mourners assembled in Leeds Parish Church and hundreds more gathered outside for the funeral this afternoon of snooker professional Paul Hunter.

The widow and baby daughter of snooker star Paul Hunter led mourners today as his coffin was brought to rest in a church before his funeral later this week.

STARS from the great Leeds team of the 1970s, including Peter Lorimer, Norman Hunter, Allan Clarke and Paul Reaney, were among the pall-bearers at the funeral of Leeds, Juventus and Wales football legend John Charles at Leeds Parish Church yesterday.
